What on Earth has happened? – Wednesday turned up again – it was just Wednesday yesterday? – “What is on your desk Wednesdays” is a group of crafters of all kind which meets at Stamping Ground owned by Julia Dunnit. A superb place to meet other crafters and be inspired.
My desk looks like, kind of, the same as last week. Nothing much has been going of the art side, as I was in a 3D world (Activeworlds) It has 25 years of Anniversary this month. At the early days, I have joined the universe of Activeworlds in 1996, became seriously involved in 1997, helping other people, since then I have my own world a virtual place of mine. 3D virtual worlds with 3D objects.
The newest project I am working with is “Doorways”. Portals to the universe of ours. The spiritual way to communicate with other spiritual beings. It is an interest I have been reading of in many years. I finally trust myself to be sure that I can draw and paint also using other medias. It is kind of interesting to see where it is going down the road, I think.
Here is a few images of what I have done or WIP. No UFO’s this time! (Click the images to see them bigger)

I think painting is a really good thing to do – children don’t worry about the end result or if it isn’t ‘good enough’, they just enjoy the process. I think adults could learn a lesson from them. I love painting but never seem to find the time to do any….

It is so enjoyable trying out new mediums and trying one medium against another to see which has which property and which another. Enjoy your crafting 3D soiunds really interesting.

Hi Mariane, the weeks do speed by. Activeworlds sounds interesting, the trouble is that sort of thin does seem to take over. I started Farmworld as my daughter wanted me to do it with her. It took more and more time to feed the animals and water the crops! I find the idea of doorways to other worlds intriguing . Angela #33
Hi Mariane, interesting project today. I think we’re all wondering where the time’s going, soon be Christmas! Wishing you a happy week and a creative woyww, Angela x19x
That yellow doorway really took my eye…

Hi Mariane, sorry for the late visit. 3D sounds lots of fun, as does Activeworld, but I can’t start anything new until I have got to grips with everything else I have on the go. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #4
I love my box of Derwent Inktense pencils Mariane. Great digital landscape too. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7
Wow Mariane, that arched doorway is super – love the way you’ve got the stones turning and still in proportion, how clever you are. I don’t do any freehand drawing at all…thats why stamping was such a big discovery for me – colouring was suddenly available without the strain of having to draw something first! Your desk looks very tidy!
Thanks, Julia. I always draw since I was a child more or less. I have been cleaning up my stash again, hint of tidiness. Thank you for your visit!!
I love experimenting with different media, and also with non-art stuff like recycled rubbish. I haven’t had time recently but I used to spend a lot of time melting things and painting them and just messing about with them to see what would happen! It’s creativity in its highest form… Love the 3-D stuff. I love doing 3-D Zentangle too, with lots of shading and highlights showing different layers. Time I did more of that sort of thing!
Happy belated WOYWW,
